A YOUNG couple who assaulted a handful of workers in front of terrified shoppers at a Petersfield store have been sentenced.
Workers struggled to restrain Yazmin Hickman and Daniel Mackel after the pair "went beserk" in Tesco Causeway on November 3 last year.
The couple, then aged 20 and 17, punched and kicked workers after Mackel became aggressive and threw a bottle of baby food on the floor.
A jury convicted Hickman, previously of The Causeway, of two counts of assault by beating following a trial at Aldershot Magistrates' Court in April.
