PUMPS at a controversial bar-cum-furniture shop in Farnham went dry this week after a court ordered the outlet to stop serving free alcohol. A closure order was granted against Innsatiable in The Woolmead after Surrey Police applied for the bar to shut following complaints from other licensed premises in the town and residents. The court decision on Tuesday was effective immediately and the premises will remain closed "until all alcohol is removed from the property". However, Innsatiable owner Simon Atkins said "the war is not lost" in the wake of the decision and vowed to press on with ambitious plans for his business. He added he has learnt "valuable lessons" from the court ruling and hopes to re-open his premises – complete with alcohol - next door in the former Krisco Newsagents this week.
