A woman has been jailed for six months after she was arrested by officers who found her with a knife.
Hampshire Police received a report that a woman had been seen with a knife at New Barn Close in Fleet on July 22.
Officers attended the scene and seized the knife, which was in the woman’s bag. She was arrested at the scene.
Katarzyna Graham, 41, of Wickham Place, Church Crookham, was later charged with possessing a knife blade/ sharp pointed article in a public place.
She pleaded guilty to the offence and was jailed for six months at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on Thursday, July 25.
Hart Inspector Lisa Eastlake said: “We take reports of offensive weapons and knives extremely seriously in the district.
“Officers were quick to respond to the reports, and I’m pleased to say the knife was located and seized.
“I hope this result highlights that our officers do everything they can to put offenders before the courts.”
