A GESTURE by Ferris Cowper, leader of East Hampshire District Council, to give £4,000 of his leader's allowance to the Bordon and Liphook Charity, will help needy people, a charity spokesman has said.
Christine Kinge from the charity's Liphook Care Shop, said the money "will be most welcome as we have a very high demand for our help and a waiting list".
