The Crankers made their base in Puerto de Pollensa on the north side of the island, which was the location for BBC’s popular TV series The Night Manager, sporting their new design pink and black ‘Liphook Crankers’ jerseys.
At the end of last year, The Crankers took over responsibility for running the Liphook Bike Ride, which is due to take place on Sunday, June 12, starting from Bohunt School, at 10am.
During the Spanish cycling trip they were able to use some of their time together to make further plans for the smooth running of the event.
A new online registration for the ride was launched last month and a "significant" number of entries from individual riders and charities have already been received.
Crankers spokesman and Liphook Bike Ride chairman Alistair Halliday said: “We had a wonderful week’s cycling in Mallorca. It is always great to help promote Liphook businesses outside the village and our new jerseys attracted quite a bit of attention from other cyclists.
“The Liphook Bike Ride preparations are continuing to go well as we come up to the last few weeks before the ride. We have received some good sponsorship from local businesses who are keen to help promote the event and we are most grateful for the fantastic support from our East Hampshire district councillors, who have been especially helpful.”
The new website contains a wealth of information on the ride as well as key information for sponsors and charities and links to British Cycling. To take part, register at liphookbikeride.com. Online entries are £15 in advance or £25 on the day.
