A TODDLER is in a critical condition after being injured by a car in Bordon. The 20-month-old girl sustained serious head injuries in the incident, which occurred in a car park in Lamerton Close, near to the Bordon garrison community, on September 30. At approximately 9am on Sunday the young child was air lifted by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight air ambulance and taken to Great Ormond Street Hospital. Police have labelled the accident as tragic, but the extent of the young girl's injuries are not yet known. Other details surrounding the incident have not been released pending a full police investigation. However, it is now known that the car involved was a VW Golf and noone has been arrested in relation to the matter. A spokesman for the garrison was unable to comment on the incident.
