A GIRL who was rescued from an overturned sports car by a Haslemere fire and rescue crew paid a visit with her family to thank the men in person.

David and Jenny Stevens wanted to meet the crew who had played a vital part in saving their daughter Lucinda, who was a passenger in a TVR sports convertible which crashed on the A286 Midhurst Road two years ago.

The team from the retained crew welcomed the 26 year old and her family at the fire station to hear how she has made a remarkable recovery from her serious injuries.
