A MAN wielding a crowbar caused around £3,000 worth of damage to a home and two cars in Bordon on Sunday night.

The culprit smashed windows, the windscreen and the headlights of the two vehicles and the front window and door of the home in Hibiscus Grove.

Now police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which happened between 10-30 pm and 11 pm.

Inspector Gerry Thorne, of Whitehill police, said that the cost of the damage had been estimated at £3,000.

ÒA house and two cars were severely damaged in Hibiscus Grove,Ó he said.

ÒAll three properties belonged to the same people. It was carried out by a man armed with a crowbar.

ÒThere was around £3,000 worth of damage maybe more. They need a new large double glazed window at the front of the house and two cars need windows replaced and a new door for the front of the house.Ó

He added: ÒWe would like to hear from anyone who saw the offender and can give us any information about the actual incident.Ó

A local man was arrested in connection with the offence and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
