IT had its ups, but not many downs, as this year's Petersfield Ups and Downs charity bike ride was hailed as the best ever with thousands of pounds raised for good causes across the town.

Organised by Petersfield Round Table, the event is now in its fourth year, and this year, a record number of people congregated in Petersfield Square to take part on Sunday morning.
