SUPPORTERS of a proposed new cycle route that would link major towns in East Hampshire have spoken out after the scheme was branded a "waste of money" by one sceptic recently.

Shipwrights Way is a proposed new pathway that would span the length of the district and connect Petersfield, Alton, Bordon and Liphook.

And Petersfield cyclist Kate Patterson, 49, says it is a great idea.
