NATIVITY season continued this week when the children at the Cygnets Day Nursery joined in the fun.

The children performed a traditional nativity play for more than 60 parents and carers on Tuesday.

Manager Bonnie Clark said: "It was a great success. Considering some of our key singers were poorly and couldn't make it in, it was a brilliant show.

"The Rev Eddie Richer kindly let us use the church for the performance, and it made the whole thing incredibly Christ-massy.

"The children loved taking part and they did really well. All of them sang well together and the ones who had lines to learn were really good too. The support we've had from the parents in the run up to Christmas has been astounding. The church was practically full and they all got involved in singing the carols. Parents also made the costumes for their children."

The nursery had a party on Wednesday.
