WAVERLEY councillors are being advised by planning officers to abandon the hope of keeping construction traffic off town streets during the East Street redevelopment.
The council's joint planning committee of 48 councillors from across the borough, which meets on Wednesday next week, is being recommended against insisting on a temporary bridge access to the site from the A31.
