THE Farnham fundraising group for Marie Curie have raised more than £2,000 for the charity’s Great Daffodil Appeal in under two days, thanks to the generosity of people in the Farnham area.

Marie Curie provides care and support for people living with any terminal illness, and their families – the aim of the appeal is to make sure there will always be a Marie Curie nurse available when someone in the area needs their help.

Every £20 raised pays for an hour of nursing care for someone who is terminally ill, so this money represents more than 100 nursing hours.

Jill Channing from the Farnham fundraising group, said: “We raised an amazing £2,126. We are really grateful to the people of Farnham, who have been so generous and to all our won- derful supporters.
