THIS half term, children aged six to 11 are invited to take part in a workshop to create a dance from The Lion King.

Dance in a Day will be held at GLive in Guildford from 10am to around 4pm on Friday, June 3. The children will work with choreographers from Farnham’s The Dance Movement to create the opening scene from the popular Disney film. They will also get to craft some simple head dresses and feathered wings.

Rachel Palmer, programme director at The Dance Movement , said: “The Dance in a Day workshops are great fun. We will teach the young dancers some simple dance moves and help them to use their imagination to create a short dance piece.

“The workshops are a great opportunity for children to make new friends and to develop their confidence. The young dancers always have a great time and cannot wait to show their parents what they have learned.”

The workshop costs £30 per child and can be booked at www.glive.co.uk. Further information about the workshop is available from [email protected].
