AROUND 40 people took part in The Dance Movement’s danceathon in aid of Sport Relief.

Participants experienced a number of different styles including street dance, Polynesian dance, Bollywood and because it was the weekend of the six nations rugby, the haka.

The danceathon concluded with everybody joining in a ceilidh.

Rachel Palmer, programme director at The Dance Movement, said: “We had such fun. It was great to see everybody dancing and being active.

“We saw mums and daughters dancing, a lady danced with her young baby and dads took part in modern ballet! Dance appeals to all age groups and it was wonderful to see all generations enjoying the chance to do something together.”

The Dance Movement, is a resident dance company at the Farnham Maltings and offers a variety of classes for all age groups.
