FARNHAM Dance has been selected as one of just 35 dance schools nationwide to represent the Royal Academy of Dance in the parade along The Mall in London on June 12 as part of the official celebrations for the Queen’s 90th birthday.
The Royal Academy of Dance performers will be leading the parade which is going to be a pageant of the seven decades of the Queen’s reign. This is going to be the centrepiece of the year’s celebrations and televised on the BBC.
The group are all very excited and proud to have been chosen to be a part of such an historic event. Along with the principal, Fiona Barnard, nine dancers from the school have been picked to represent Farnham Dance.
Fiona said: “We are all very excited and proud to have been chosen and it is a mark of how Farnham Dance continues to build on its great success both in Farnham and the wider dance community.”
