THE deadline is fast approaching for nominations to this year’s Farnham Sports Awards - offering the chance to join the ranks of past winners including Jonny Wilkinson and Graham Thorpe.

Farnham Sports Council is seeking nominations across 11 categories celebrating junior and senior personalities, teams, clubs, coaches and volunteers before the cut-off on Thursday, August 31.

Winners will be announced at the annual awards ceremony in October, and will proceed to the Surrey Sports Awards where Farnham has enjoyed unrivalled success in recent years.

Marion Stockley, secretary of the Farnham Sports Council said: “We’d strongly encourage clubs and individuals to check out the Active Surrey website www.activesurrey.com for all the award categories and a nomination form.”
