A 29-YEAR-OLD drug dealer from Haslemere, believed to have been part of a major drugs gang, pleaded guilty at the Old Bailey last Friday to conspiracy to supply ecstasy and cocaine.

Daniel Clark, of Sunvale Avenue, pleaded guilty to two charges of conspiracy to supply the class A drugs. He also admitted three counts of conspiracy to supply class B drugs cannabis, herbal cannabis and amphetamines.

Clark was remanded in custody and will appear at a later date for sentencing.

He was arrested on March 20 as part of a massive drugs swoop on 35 addresses in West Surrey and North East Hampshire.

Twenty-two people were arrested during the raids, including a Surrey policeman and a Surrey Police civilian employee.

An estimated 200,000 ecstasy tablets with a street value of £2 million were seized by officers, who also recovered £125,000 worth of cannabis and £60,000 of cocaine.

They seized firearms including a fully loaded sawn-off shotgun, two handguns and a Tazer stun gun, nine luxury cars including a Porsche and a Lexus, a skunk factory and pill press to manufacture ecstasy tablets, and tens of thousands of pounds.

The Surrey policeman accused in the case also appeared at the Old Bailey, to deny accessing sensitive information to help the gang allegedly involved in the huge ecstasy and cocaine dealing ring.

Pc Kevin Davies, 28, who is based at Guildford police station, is accused of providing details from the police computer and also failing to report his suspicions about criminal activity.

Davies denied four allegations of misfeasance in a public office between November 4, 2001 and March 20 this year.

These related to improperly accessing information on the Surrey Police Intelligence system and failing to report his suspicions of criminal activity.

They also include knowing others were involved in the supply of steroids and disclosing confidential information of an impending drugs search at The Agincourt pub in Camberley.

He also denied a charge of doing acts tending or intended to pervert the course of public justice between February 7 and March 20, 2003.

This relates to allegedly providing false details in response to a notice of intended prosecution in respect of a traffic accident.

Davies, of Rye Close, Farnborough, was remanded on bail and is due back in court for a further hearing on October 10.

No date for trial was fixed.
