DELTA FM (formerly Wey Valley Radio Ltd) has won its bid to retain the Independent Local Radio Licence to serve Alton and Haslemere for the next eight years.

In a statement last week, the Radio Authority said that, after considering the proposals submitted by the two applicants, it had decided to re-award the licence on the FM waveband for Alton, also in future to include coverage of Haselmere, to the existing licence holder.
