SURREY'S deputy chief constable, who was cleared last September of indecently assaulting two women colleagues, is to face an independent tribunal.
Following the recommendations of independent solicitors, and the commissioner of the City of London Police, Perry Nove, Surrey Police Authority agreed that Ian Beckett (54) should have charges of "discreditable conduct" laid against him.
This comes after an independent solicitor was appointed last October to prepare charges against him.
