THE DEPUTY town clerk at Whitehill Town Council is set to step down from the role.
David Melsome’s resignation was announced during Wednesday’s (January 22) executive committee meeting, where he said it was “time to move on”.
He said it “has not been an easy time” and “in the end you get a little bit worn down with everything that is going on”, but added he has “enjoyed” his time.
Leader of the council, Councillor Andy Tree thanked Mr Melsome for “everything he has done for this town council” and wished him all the best.
