CAMPAIGNERS fear there could be no stopping an avalanche of housing on greenfield sites for areas like Alton and Four Marks, where house builders are enjoying a speculative field day.
While East Hampshire District Council's Local Plan will set housing figures to the year 2028, to meet a Government driven target of more than 10,060 across the district, proposed changes to the wording of the document, suggested by the Government's planning inspectorate, could result in no limit to the scale of development.
