Peeps into the Past: Castaway Christmas for Tilford's own Robinson CrusoeThe day was celebrated by a message from Her Majesty the Queen, a message in the Farnham Herald, plenty of visitors and a Champagne afternoon tea at the Aviator. Celebrations continued with a party for friends and family.
Clifford and Christine moved to Farnham after their wedding back in 1957,having met at the Guildford Playhouse.
After moving to Farnham they became proud parents to two children, grandparents to four grandchildren and great grandparents 10 grandchildren.
The couple’s daughter, Linda, said: “I have to say there are no real quotes on what they think the secret is, as they both seem non-committal about how they have managed to get to the 60-year mark, but I think having common interests and doing things together has helped.”
