THE Museum of Farnham will launch its Summer of Archaeology next week, promising a programme of exhibitions and events celebrating the wonderful world of archaeology.
From next Tuesday (June 19) to September 22, visitors can take part in a range of activities, including a special temporary exhibition Farnham Beneath your Feet, the Finding Farnham Festival and an evening talk by local archaeologist David Graham.
Farnham Beneath your Feet will explore the town’s history from its prehistoric roots through to its Georgian grandeur, and is free to enter during museum opening hours, Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm.
The museum will then welcome the Surrey Archaeological Society for the Finding Farnham Festival on July 28 from 11am to 4pm.
Promising fun for all the family, visitors can try their hand at excavation, meet a Prehistoric man, and a host of other archaeological activities. It is suitable for all ages and entry is free.
