A SUCCESSFUL application to build an anaerobic digester plant in Oakhanger has been described as "cataclysmic".

The decision was criticised by county, district and town councillor Adam Carew after Hampshire county councillors voting 11 to four in favour of the development.

Applicant Patrick Benham-Crosswell, director of Selborne Brickworks, said he was "delighted" with the decision.
