A MOTHER is appealing to anyone who visited Country Market at Kingsley at the weekend who may have information on the whereabouts of her disabled son's iPad.
Becky Harms and her four-year-old son, Josh, were visiting Country Market's car boot sale on July 15 when his iPad, which he uses as a learning aid, was discovered missing.
"Josh is a four-and-a-half-year old little boy who is severely disabled," she said. "He can't speak and can't communicate with the outside world. He relies on adult support 24 hours a day at all times.
"He was wheeled round in his wheelchair and he was given his iPad to hold to try and help him cope with going to a new place.
"While walking round the car boot he dropped his iPad, myself and my best friend searched for nearly an hour and I was in tears but no one had appeared to hand it in.
"The iPad is on a contract which will cost in total £650, which is a huge amount of money for myself, a single parent. Josh relies on this iPad for his learning and since getting it two months ago he has made significant progress in his development.
"I am desperate to get it back and I have contacted the police and the organisers at the car boot but as of yet no luck."
Miss Harms added that she is "praying that some angel out there with a kind heart has handed it in or will if they find out about Josh".
She said it would be a "cruel tragedy" for a boy like her son to lose vital equipment. She urged anyone with any information to contact her on 01428 604471 or 07725 484943.
