A WOODLAND fair, hosted by the Deadwater Valley Trust, was held in the nature reserve, near Knox’s Pond, on Saturday.
Sunny weather helped to attract visitors to the October 10 fair and among them were coracle rides on the pond, woodcraft demonstrations, Scout camps, willow weaving, archery, pond dipping and conker matches.
The woodland fair, near Conde Way, was the third to be held by the trust, and provided family fun, raised awareness of the trust’s work and introduced members of the public to the groups and businesses, connected with nature and the outdoors, which had stalls or representatives at the event.
