This year East Hampshire District Council is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its inauguration in 1974.

It was formed when the Local Government Act 1972 brought together four rural and urban councils.

To mark the moment it has created a special ‘50’ logo to use during 2024.

Leader Cllr Richard Millard said: “We are proud to have served this district for 50 years and look forward to the next 50."
