SURREY's top doctor is warning of the risks posed by the current cold weather – and that the danger will continue even after temperatures start to rise.

Dr Akeem Ali, Director of Public Health for Surrey, said: "The risks are real – people need to realise that the cold can kill and they need to keep warm."
