THE police have called on dog owners to be more responsible after six sheep were killed in an attack in the Hound Green area of Hook.
A spokesman said three sheep were killed in the area north of Hook between 6pm on Wednesday, June 15, and 6pm on Thursday, June 16.
Three sheep had been killed in the same area a week earlier.
Police community support officer Katie Lane said: "In light of this, can all dog walkers please be responsible when walking their dogs in rural areas and keep them on leads where appropriate.”
Polioce are also probing a spike in incidents of theft and vandalism in Hook and Odiham.
In North Warnborough, police are appealing for information after a car was stolen from a driveway. The Citroen C3, registration KV06 JBJ, was taken between 3pm on June 19 and 3pm on June 22.
In Odiham, a narrowboat hire service in the village was broken into between 10.45pm on June 11 and 12.20am on June 12, where thieves stole more than £100 from its business premises.
Police say they believe three offenders scaled the large security gate of Galleon Marine, on Colt Hill, and forced entry into the building before making off with the cash.
Meanwhile, vandals launched an attack on Odiham Common. Intruders broke in to the woodland site between 4pm on June 17 and 9am on June 20, uprooting a large wooden post at the site of specific scientific interest.
The site sits to north east of Odiham and south of Winchfield and police believe two 4x4 vehicles entered the site and caused damage and rutting to the ride and path network.
There is also evidence that a quad bike was illegally ridden around the site.
Anyone with information on any of the criminal acts should call the police on 101.
