THIS year’s Farnham Fireworks and Torchlit Procession will be held on Saturday, November 4, and once again promises to be one of the highlights of Farnham’s autumn calendar.

Organised by Farnham Round Table, last year saw almost 800 people join the torchlight procession from Central car park to Farnham Park, with over 4,000 people watching the firework display.

In 2016 approximately £30,000 was raised, with every penny being fed by Farnham Round Table back into the local community through charitable donations. Recipients included Change of Scene, Farnham Food Bank, Home Start Waverley, Farnham Swimming Club and over 10 local schools.

This year’s event is sponsored by the Hogs Back Brewery, which will be running a beer tent in Farnham Park where spectators will be able to purchase some of their award-winning beers to enjoy while watching the fireworks.

Proceedings start at 6.15pm with the torchlight procession leaving Central car park led by the mayor Mike Hodge (get to the car park early to buy torches and other firework novelties).

The bonfire will then be lit in Farnham Park at 7.15pm, followed by the fireworks to music at 7.45pm.

Eagle Radio will once again be rousing the crowds in the lead up to the bonfire lighting, supported by compere Max Fulham. Local band The Toledos will also be gracing the stage to provide spectators with live music.

Food will be available throughout the evening, as well as rides for the children.
