In the coming days, registration forms will be dropping through letterboxes in Alton Town CouncilÕs twice-yearly newsletter ÔThe AltonianÕ.
Party co-ordinator James Palmer said this week: ÒWe have already sent invitations to local schools in Alton to enable children to book their places.
ÒThe application form in the Altonian will ensure that all children who donÕt attend school in Alton and who are of nursery/primary age will not miss out on this fun event and will be able to join their friends and neighbours.
ÒWe would be grateful if the forms could be returned by Monday, May 27, to the Town Hall so that sufficient chairs and tables can be provided.Ó
According to Mr Palmer, SainsburyÕs, will be providing many of the goodies for the party, although children still need to bring their own food.
ÒIt is great that local firms are supporting this true community event,Ó he said.
Anyone or any group interested in helping out with the street party, either before or on the day, should contact James Palmer through Alton Town Hall.
