TEN people have been named and shamed in the first week of Surrey Police’s Christmas crackdown on drink or drug-driving related offences.
Throughout December the police will be releasing the names of those that have been charged, as well as Tweeting about those stopped on suspicion of drink or drug-driving offences.
Wayne Page, 36, of Weavers Gardens in Farnham, was among those charged in the first week of the campaign, stopped in Wrecclesham on Wednesday, December 2.
He has been charged with driving above the prescribed limit and driving without insurance, and has been released on bail to appear at Guildford Magistrates Court on December 16.
Another, Holly Brown, 21, of Poyle Road, Tongham, was stopped in Guildford on Sunday, December 6. and charged with driving above the prescribed limit.
She has been released on bail to appear at Guildford Magistrates Court on December 22.
As well as the 10 that have been charged a further eight have been arrested for drink or drug driving related offences and are on bail.
