PUBS in Haslemere and Chiddingfold were among 22 across Waverley borough visited by Surrey Police as part of a successful licence and drugs check operation.
During the evening earlier this week, officers and staff from Waverley Borough Council dropped in to check on any licensing issues, as well as also using the opportunity to take drug swabs.
The swabs were sent for analysis and if any traces of drugs on the premises are discovered, officers will return to advise the publican and ensure the issue is dealt with.
A Surrey Police spokesman said: “A substantial amount of feedback was received from customers on the night thanking police for helping to make the towns safe.”
