A 23-year-old man, who died in a two-vehicle collision on the B2130 Hascombe Road in Godalming last Thursday morning, has been formally identified as Laith Al Rawas from Dunsfold. He was travelling in a silver Peugeot 102 towards Godalming when his vehicle was in collision with a blue Skoda saloon which was travelling towards Dunsfold. The accident happened in the vicinity of the junction with Munstead Heath Road at 7-20 am. Mr Al Rawas was the sole occupant of the Peugeot. He was certified dead at the Royal Surrey County Hospital. The woman driving the Skoda received minor injuries and did not need to attend hospital. The B2130 was closed between Lodkin Hill and Hascombe and Munstead Heath Road at Godalming following the incident. An inquest was opened and adjourned on Tuesday.
