THE Helen Arkell Dyslexia Centre in Frensham is to hold a Degrees of Success workshop next month to help students, with or without dyslexia, make the step up to university.
Taking place from 1pm to 4pm on Wednesday, September 12, the one-off workshop will give prospective first, or even second or third, year students the opportunity to develop the skills they will need, and adapt existing strategies, to adjust to their new environment.
Students will be able to practise their skills and will take useful resources home to aid further practice and to use as reminders.
The course comes on the back of A-levels results day today (Thursday), in which students across the area will discover if they’ve made the grades needed to secure a place at their chosen university. See next week’s Herald for a report and pics of this year’s results and high achievers.
