Stagecoach is to reinstate the early 64 for the Manor estate in Alton, the company announced this week.
The bus company withdrew the service in September, following the loss of the Amery Hill School contract which, it said, made it unviable to have the bus call at the Manor estate at 9am.
But Stagecoach has won back the school contract which means that, from January, a bus will now travel from the school to pick up those wanting to use the 9am Manor estate service, going from there to Alton railway station, before travelling through the town to Winchester.
