LUKE Guttridge handed Aldershot fans an early Christmas present on Saturday, scrambling home a second-half winner against high-flying Shrewsbury to end a run of three consecutive League Two defeats.
A combative performance in their last home game before Christmas set the stage for Aldershot's first win in a month and the Shrews' first defeat since mid-October.
Former Shots striker Marvin Morgan had a woeful game on his first return to the EBB Stadium since last season's abrupt departure – following inflammatory remarks on Twitter about the Aldershot fans – much to the delight of those same fans who booed him throughout.
