IT may only be early October, but it's already beginning to look very festive on the second floor of Petersfield library.

Early Christmas shoppers can grab themselves a bargain at its Cards for Good Causes shop.

The temporary outlet was opened on Monday by the mayor, Mary Vincent, and features designs from more than 35 charities.

Cards from the Rosemary Foundation are among the 250 available, and at least 75 per cent of sale proceeds is paid to the charities on whose behalf the cards are sold.
