OPPONENTS of Crest Nicholson Sainsbury's East Street redevelopment have left no stone unturned in their bid to halt the project.

Pressure group East Street Action has written to Odeon and M&S, who are both negotiating to be part of the scheme, and to Sainsbury's, warning them of what they believe are the scheme's pitfalls.

The letters, sent by East Street Action secretary Celia Sandars and referring to such issues as parking and traffic concerns, caused something of a spat in the Waverley Council chamber on Tuesday.
