THE fear Bordon-Whitehill could become a concrete jungle, losing woodland and green spaces, if it becomes a Government eco-town was demonstrated by the number of people who packed the Forest Community Centre last Friday night for a public meeting against the plan.

At the end of the meeting, run by The Bordon Area Action Group, all but three of the 250-plus members of the audience voted to reject East Hampshire District Council's plan "to double the number of homes and people in Whitehill-Bordon".
