FARNHAM South county councillor David Munro says his worst fears about the traffic implications of the Bordon eco-town project have been confirmed and it's "very bad news for Wrecclesham".

The councillor has commented following the publication of Hampshire County Council's Transport Assessment, which shows that during the evening peak hour the lower part of Wrecclesham Hill will suffer a bigger increase in traffic than anywhere else.

The modelling of increased traffic numbers for the peak hour shows an increase of around 13 per cent, from 1,295 to 1,464 vehicles.
