FARNHAM'S fears that the regeneration of Whitehill and Bordon will not be eco-friendly in terms of traffic generation have been echoed on the Hampshire side of the county boundary.

The fear is that those living in what some call "eco-heaven" - with their environmentally friendly houses, town centre and new inner relief road - could impose an 'eco-hell' on the 5,500 people living in villages such as Bentley.

In Farnham the concern has been about the extra traffic that would choke the already overburdened A325 through Wrecclesham, including commuters putting further strain on parking facilities at Farnham railway station.
