ALL Hallows Catholic School in Farnham is celebrating after climbing the tables once again following the release of their A-level results last Thursday.

With A* to A percentages rising to 28 per cent, three per cent up from last year, and A* to B grades rising from 56 to 60 per cent, there’s little wonder the school are hailing another victorious year.

Securing an A* in physics, A* in maths and an A in fine arts and chemistry was Jordan Greener, who is more than ready to start his next chapter at the University of Southampton studying aeronautical engineering.

“I am over the moon, it’s a kind of opening your present type of moment,” said Jordan. “It is probably the best present you could receive. I just had my birthday and it’s still the best present I have received. It’s another thing to tick off the list of my happiest moments – words cannot describe how happy I am.”

And Eve Stoneman, couldn’t be more pleased with her results after receiving a A*AB, she said: “I am now torn between going to Loughborough to study graphics or going to Farnham UCA to take a foundation year in art and design.”

Fellow student and friend Victoria Vadasz, who woke up to a congratulatory text from her university, secured straight As, guaranteeing her a place at the University of Exeter to study economics. She said: “I got my results with my family and then came in by myself, because although I got in I didn’t know what my grades were.

“My offer was AAB and if I had got that I wouldn’t have been as happy, so I am over the moon and quite shocked, it’s the adrenaline of it all.”

And theatre lover Olivier Scott is feeling chuffed after being awarded the first A* in drama that the sixth form has ever received, winning her a place at the Royal Holloway to study drama. She was equally pleased upon receiving grades B in English language and C in psychology.

She added: “It’s all gone really well. I had to have three months off college because of surgery, so I’ve still done pretty good considering. When I saw the A* in drama I started crying, I never thought I would actually cry about a grade.”

Headteacher Elizabeth Lutzeier, said: “I am very proud, we’ve got nine students with three or more As and A*s. The headline figures are really, really super. We’ve only got four students who need to go through clearing.

“We are really pleased but it’s because of Teresha Fanshawe (head of sixth form) and her team, she epitomises tough love. She’s very positive but she’s strict with them and they like somebody to be strict.”
