BARROW Hills Pre-Prep children were invited to take part in an Easter bonnet and hat parade which was organised by the Pre-Prep head Sue Pulleyn.

The children turned up at Barrow Hills School, Witley, wearing hats and bonnets with a spring or Easter theme which they and their parents had created at home.

The school also held its annual Lenten Appeal in the weeks leading up to Easter.

Year eight pupils drew up a shortlist of three charities and the whole school voted for their charity of choice and each class was then involved in fundraising activities.

The Blue Cross, which helps sick, injured and homeless pets, was selected as the main beneficiary, with smaller donations towards Crisis, the charity for single homeless people, and The Source, which supports vulnerable people in Hampshire and Surrey.
