CHILDREN at Hollycombe Primary School performed a modern interpretation of their current topic “Smashing Saxons and Vicious Vikings”, taking inspiration from the Horrible History sketches.

By watching a series of television programmes such as Channel 4’s Grand Designs - Anglo Saxons and Dragons Den - The Viking Edition, children discovered that doing homework in the 21st century is preferable to living in Anglo Saxon and Viking times.

They also demonstrated their musical and guitar skills with a couple of rock inspired songs, ‘Anglo Saxons’ and ‘Literally,’ which had the audience on their feet.
