A youngster from Dockenfield is on cloud nine after getting an outstanding set of GCSE results.

Chloe Miller was one of the star performers at St Swithun’s School in Winchester, finishing top of the class after bagging Grade 9s in all ten of her subjects.

Her mum, Jenny, said the family was “thrilled” for Chloe, who has worked hard and hopes to study chemistry at either Oxford or Cambridge in the future.

Chloe will remain at St Swithun’s for sixth form, where she plans to study A-level maths, biology and chemistry, with geography potentially added as a fourth subject.

The star student celebrated with a day of treats in Guildford that included a meal at Wagamama.
