SIXTH form students at More House School, Frensham, are again celebrating outstanding results this year in their A-level and BTEC Level 3 courses.

With a 100 per cent pass rate in BTEC courses and a 97 per cent pass rate at A-level, More House pupils, all of whom have overcome specific learning and language-based difficulties, have again succeeded in achieving what many thought impossible before they joined the school.

Headmaster Jonathan Hetherington, congratulated the school’s upper sixth leavers on chalking up a 71 per cent A*-C or BTEC equivalent grade in their certificates.

“We are again incredibly proud of the determination and tenacity of our students, and wish them well for their future destinations which, for many, means university degrees”.

Ninety six per cent of the school’s students achieved 100 per cent passes in each of their courses, and many have been accepted onto university degree courses to read subjects such as history, music, computer science and mathematics.

Mr Hetherington also paid tribute to the commitment and expertise of the More House teaching and specialist therapy staff.  Twenty one per cent of the certificates awarded to More House students were at the highest A* to A, or BTEC equivalent of distinction* and distinction, grading.

More House School is recognised as a national centre for excellence, providing independent day and boarding education for 470 boys aged eight to 18 with specific learning or language-based difficulties, including dyslexia.
