ST Nicholas’ School in Church Crookham, celebrated another year of remarkable GCSE results.

There were some first-class performances within the year group with almost half of all grades at either A*or A.

Robin Golding achieved nine A*s and two As, and Natasha Brooks and Isabel Cockayne both achieved seven A*s and four As.

The school achieved a 100 per cent pass rate in English and maths, 97 per cent achieved five or more subjects at A8 to C grade and 48 per cent of the subjects were awarded an A* to A grade.

Headmistress Annette Whatmough, said: “Studying for GCSE examinations present students with a great deal of pressure that they are not used to.

“The results demonstrate the resilience, tenacity and hard work of the pupils and teachers. They should all be very proud, I know I am.”
