THE annual spring fair at St Andrew’s Infant School, Farnham, was a “huge success”, with families gathering to enjoy the event on Sunday.

Organised by the school’s Parent Teacher Association (PTA), children and adults enjoyed the traditional St Andrew’s activities such as hook a duck, lob a frog in the bog, splat the rat and, of course, the Jolly Jar stall.

The school’s celebrity chef and his commis chefs manned the barbecue and served hot dogs, with the sausages donated by Morgan’s Butchers.

The highlight, however, was the debut of the Yucky Dip where children had to find their prize in a bath tub filled with St Andrew’s blue slime!

Assistant headteacher Catherine Floyd helped raise even more by agreeing to take a dip in the bath at the end of the fair, if the stall raised £100, which it did.

Mrs Floyd thanked the PTA and said: “It was such a special day.

“Without the whole St Andrew’s community working together, these events wouldn’t be the same.

“The event helped to raise a great deal that will all go towards improving our wonderful school for the children to enjoy.”
